Introduction

Since the rise of new media, art and artists have been drastically changing. That goes for what is now considered art as well as for how it is made and distributed. The boundaries of what we consider art have expanded since the category now includes music, movies, and other works that use a digital medium. Online art communities are allowing anyone who dabbles in art to have their works critiqued and improved. New media also has many other tools for artists to take advantage of. Widespread access to new media has changed outlook that many people have towards art. The ability for anyone to be able to view artworks and discuss them with others all from their home is even making art more popular among the younger generation.
